Real Insights: Owner Mohammed Quraishi, MD
From Owner and Medical Director to practicing teleradiologist, Mohammed Quraishi, MD has numerous roles at Real Radiology. Here he delves into the future of teleradiology, and the role Real Radiology plays in it.
What sets Real Radiology apart from other teleradiology groups?
MQ: We are proud to be a physician-owned and operated organization, dedicated to supporting our physicians and delivering outstanding patient care. Achieving both objectives can be challenging, as they may conflict without careful balance. Our aim is to foster long-term relationships with both our physicians and clients to ensure we continue meeting these goals in the future.
What changes have you seen in the teleradiology industry and how has Real Radiology adapted to those changes?
MQ: We are experiencing a significant increase in demand for teleradiology services nationwide, alongside decreasing reimbursements for hospitals and radiology practices, and a shortage in the workforce. Despite these challenges, we have successfully leveraged these conditions to expand our company and offer attractive job opportunities with very competitive salaries that appeal to radiologists seeking alternatives to traditional roles. As we grow, we are able to offer flexibility to radiologists that is difficult to replicate in the typical radiology practice.
How do you see teleradiology changing in the future?
MQ: I foresee ongoing technological advancements that will further enhance the capabilities of radiologists to perform their duties efficiently and accurately. This progress is crucial in helping them maintain a high level of productivity, while also effectively preventing long-term burnout in the profession.
What is your vision for the future of Real Radiology?
MQ: I envision our company not only strengthening long-term relationships with our radiologists, radiology practices, and hospitals to enhance patient care but also continue growing to provide increasing value back to these groups.
